You Can Keep Everything I Gave You — Even the Love
by Zoul Kreation
There’s a sacred kind of ending that doesn’t come with anger or noise —
just silence that finally feels like peace.
For a long time, I gave.
I gave light to shadows that couldn’t hold it,
love to places that didn’t know how to return it,
and energy to stories that were never meant to last.
I gave without keeping score,
because that’s what hearts like mine do —
we pour, we nurture, we believe.
Until one day, belief turns into clarity.
And clarity whispers,
“You can keep everything I gave you — even the love. I don’t need it anymore.”
Not out of spite.
Not out of sorrow.
But out of awakening.
Because I’ve learned that release is also love —
the kind that flows back to me when I stop chasing what’s already finished.
The kind that reminds me my energy is sacred,
and not everyone deserves access to it.
This isn’t heartbreak — it’s reclamation.
This is me remembering who I was before I forgot myself in someone else’s story.
This is me walking away with soft steps and strong boundaries.
So if you ever wonder what freedom sounds like,
it sounds a lot like this goodbye.
It sounds like a door closing with grace,
a heart choosing itself again,
a soul whispering —
I’m done giving to what drains me.
I don’t need closure.
I am the closure.
And that’s when I smiled,
looked back one last time,
and simply said —
Goodbye.
