The Love You Bring to the Table
by Zoul Kreation
Some people truly need the love you bring to the table — they just don’t know how to receive it. I’ve learned that in this world, love often feels like charity. You give it freely, hoping it’ll soften the edges of someone else’s pain, only to realize you were pouring into people who were never ready to hold that kind of purity.
And let me tell you — it’s not your fault.
People wear masks because they’re scared. Scared of being seen, scared of being loved right, scared of being exposed in their brokenness. They hurt you not because you deserve it, but because they don’t know what to do with something real. Hurt people hurt people — and you just happened to be the mirror that showed them who they really are beneath the act.
But the love you give? It’s divine currency. It doesn’t disappear just because it wasn’t received properly. It moves through you, into the world, leaving energy behind — energy that teaches, heals, and transforms.
So, don’t shrink. Don’t harden. Protect your peace, yes — but never stop being who you are. Because one day, someone healed will sit across your table, not to take, but to match your love. They’ll see you, feel you, and love you right back.
Until then, keep your heart open and your boundaries strong. Because love like yours isn’t a weakness — it’s the medicine the world forgot it needed
